The Origin Story
Topi Ventures was founded when Joann Jen and Nadia Kemal crossed paths at the Black Women in Food Summit. Both leaders were driven by a shared passion for food as a powerful tool for societal and cultural change. Their meeting sparked the idea to create a venture studio dedicated to supporting and scaling innovative CPG brands. With Joann’s expertise in brand growth and social impact, and Nadia’s strength in product innovation and operational excellence, they combined forces to build Topi Ventures—a platform designed to empower brands that stand for something greater.
